Definitely having a lot of fun with these stems.
I’ve turned Denat’s Jackin’ House style into Dubstep.
Quick mixdown done but probably need some refinement.
Let me know what you think

@kenada commented but apparently it was on the duplicate posting I deleted lol
Here is a v2.5. I’ve made some changes to the automation, timing of the bassline for more impact and added a proper outro.
I’ll leave v1 up for reference if you’d like to hear it.

John, this is a banger! But it really needs a tonal balance shift. That killer bassline kills literally everyone else. As the vocals and the stereo effects are also superb, it will be very hard to get them all into the frequency spectrum at the same time without getting a mess. I would create more of a call and response theme with the dominant sounds so they aren’t interfering and have their own playtime and slots. And / or a shitload amount of sidechaining. Pretty sure the percs will open up that way too. Hope that helps 🙂

Thanks @schepperz! I have noticed the bassline subdues everything else myself.
I’ll work on that for rev 3. 😎

Damn this was awesome. The tilt problem is actually something I noticed we all do wrong in the mixing. The moment we put to much bass on, we cant go back. What I do is to lower kick + bass by -2dB before going to bed and save. and 9 out of 10 times, the bass and kick is more than enough in the mix. It will also make room further up the mix.
But damn what a remix

Thanks Piv! I am just uploading a new version now. I dropped the sub by 2db and fiddled with some saturation and placement of the other elements and I think everything pops better now.
