Hey AFL! It may just be my ears, but I’m getting a real harshness in the 1.6 kHz (G5) to 2.17 kHz or s0 (C6), could probably pull it back just a bit. Also noticed a great shaker in the mix at around the 6kHz (F#7) that’s gets buried a bit. Maybe boost 3-6 DB in that area to bring it out – it adds nice counter rhythm to the track.
And if all that is just my tinnitus acting up……carry on… 😉
I will take a look at this, it’s sometimes hard to catch those nasty freqs in my headphones but I did notice it a bit “piercing” when listening on speakers, appreciate that!
Here is a new revision on this. I can’t recall all the changes but I know I dropped the snare a couple db as this was a part of the build up in the problem frequencies and did some eq work on other parts to help address this as well. Tried raising that shaker counter rhythm too.
Alright, here is what I think will be the final version.
